New art? Awh yeah!

Holy bologna everybody! It sure has been a long time, hasn't it? I'm actually on DA almost every day, but I'm never submitting art because.... I'm lazy I guess? But that'll change, because as I move through college I'm getting progressively less lazy! And I'm actually *GASP* coloring my doodles! WOW. I know, big deal.
It's finals week so that's a barrel full of fun. Egad! Soon I'll be home livin' it up for spring break though. Paaaaaartaaaaay! I hope to get something of value drawn during that time!
Oh! I got my art published kind of! I won the mascot art contest for Naka-Kon 2012, and my version of Tomo the phoenix was printed on shirts, the badges, and on the program book! It was totally awesome! I also shared an artist alley table with ca-jas! That was my first time doing anything of the sort, so I was a little bit of a derp (I only did commissions and artist trading cards... I have no prints... yet!), but I broke even and even made a little bit of profit! Both Jas and I donated 10% to Art Feeds, which is an awesome organization in Joplin, MO that helps kids deal with traumatic experiences through art therapy. What a wonderful way to heal the soul!

I'm trying to get more stuff drawn here! Like I said, mostly I've just been inking doodles and stuff that I draw when I'm bored because thanks to all of my schoolwork that's all I really have time to do, but that's something at least! I'll try to cross-post everything here, and I hope to open up commissions in the summer!

O hay guys. It's been all quarter. haha. I've been busy with college and what-not.
SO. I was just thinking andddddd...
The art I have on this account is CRAP and it doesn't accurately reflect who I am as an artist now or how I have grown and changed artistically, especially since starting college. It just... ugh. It frustrates me. Most of the stuff on here was made when I was in middle school and high school and it's not like I *hate* it, but I want a clean slate, yanno?
I have to think about where I'm going in the next few years. I'm gonna have to start thinking professionally and building a portfolio for companies to see. As it is, right now I don't hand out my DA name to friends and acquaintances here at school, and why? I don't want them to see my crap of years of old. I haven't uploaded anything in a while, and even if I did, people would tromp through my gallery and see all of my older work. Doesn't look too good. Of course, younger Stella drew things fine for her age, but now that I'm older and more experienced, I look at things and create things differently, and I want folks to see that. Who I AM, not who I WAS. Ya dig?
Yeah, so I'm thinking about making a new account to upload my new stuff as well as maybe a few favorites from this account. I'd still keep this account up and runnin', and maybe post some cosplay pics and other photos on here for fun, but then I'd have a more "professional" page... which in English just means I'd upload my newer and nicer drawings to it.

So I'm going to AWA (Anime Weekend Atlanta) this weekend with some of my pals from school.
If you see an Espeon Gijinka cosplay on Friday (possibly lacking a tail 'cause that piece of crap is falling apart ;_; ), that'd be me. Same with a Season 2 Mimi from Digimon on Saturday Say hi if ya bump into me. :3
Psshhhh I'm already super nervous about it. Like, fer rizzle. It'll be the biggest con I've ever been to so naturally I was already like "HOLYCRAPLOTSOFPEOPLE" but then today one of my friends (who's gone before) said "And the cosplays are AMAZING. Like... GODLY AMAZING." Lolohyeah, made me remember that I PERSONALLY SUCK AT MAKING COSPLAYS. :'D jerbgjaksdzgbksjdbgkjdf
So... I'ma walk around feeling inferior with my crappy half-thrown together stuff. Boo yah. :')
Hopefully people will recognize me at least... and appreciate my effort. :'D OhgoshIreallyfreakin'needtofixmysewingmachine;_;
But yeah.... Um... I'm gonna blow so much money it's gonna be ridiculous.

So despite never having seen Shugo Chara in my life I decided that I loved the Humpty lock and key necklaces that my friends wore.
So I ordered a purple one and excitedly waited for it to arrive in the mail.
It came today.
And they sent me a pink one instead.

I'M OLD(ER) NOW. :'D
It's been awesome so far thanks to my amazing friends!
My dad got me a pass to AWA in September as a gift... so say hi to me if you're goin' too!
In other news, I learned the English version to "Butterfly," aka the Japanese Digimon theme to season one. Yaaaaaaaay for not havin' a life.
Oh, and I helped move my younger brother into college (THEY GROW UP SO FAST ;^; ) and I saw jellolids for the first time in like a year... and this weekend I'm hopefully gonna see my friend Fawsty, EveryLlamasEnvy, and Stockmon!
And now all of my friends are back in school so I'm all alone during the day and have no one to hang out with. It sucks, but I'm probably going to.... . . I dunno. Find something to do. (LIKE DRAW! I'm an artist so I should really... do that every now and again.
)
OH!!!!!! And acrobatmax MADE ME A BUTTERMON PLUSHIEEEEEE ;w; She's not completely done yet (needs her head finished) but when I opened her at my birthday party it was like IMPOSSIBLE to contain myself! I seriously wanted to fly through the ceiling screaming and like... crying with joy. I'm so pathetic, but I was so ridiculously happy ;w; ThankyouthankyouthankyouMaggieeeee!!! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3
Hmmmmmm... so yeah. That's about it for now I s'pose. There might be an art dump around the 26th or something 'cause I'll be getting my wisdom teeth out and will be lying around my house with nothing else to do.
